Community

Hello!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
I spent the weekend giving thanks for this great community, which I have had the honour and privilege of serving for the past 4 years.
Community at the Center of It All
I give thanks every day for the community volunteers who bring Erin to life. It was another fabulous Fall Fair thanks to the countless volunteers. Their commitment reminds us why community must always be at the center of it all. When I say “Let’s make sure Erin always feels like home” - this is what I mean.
A Time for Reflection
This was also a time of reflection as we wrapped up this Council term. Last Thursday was our final Council meeting, and it was a very emotional one for me. It marked the end of 4 years of commitment and endless learning.
Every conversation at the Fall Fair, on the street, or at the door has shaped how I listen and how I lead. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your thoughts, your concerns, and your ideas. You made me a better Councillor.
My 7 Priorities
Looking ahead, I have 7 priorities to move Erin forward while keeping the community at the centre of it all. Erin is evolving, and with that comes new opportunities and real challenges. My goal is to meet them in a way that protects what we love about this place and strengthens the connections that hold us together. You can read them here: www.cathyaylard.ca/my-priorities
As the Campaign Comes to a Close
With the campaign period coming to a close, here is what I offer you:
I offer you experience.
I offer you proven leadership.
I offer you a track record of results.
And most importantly, I offer my commitment to continue serving, as I have demonstrated over the last 4 years.
Challenges exist, but so does great potential. I would appreciate your support to continue this work, and I respectfully ask for your vote.
I hope to see you at the Candidates event tomorrow evening to chat further.

Feeling very thankful,
Cathy
