What’s the most challenging part of being on Council?
That’s a question I’m often asked, and it’s not easy to answer.
These are complex times, and the volume of information we deal with is enormous. But if I had to choose one challenge that stands out the most, it would be communication. It is challenging to explain what’s happening, why it matters, and how residents can be part of the conversation.
At this week’s Council meeting, we reviewed three significant subdivision reports (105 pages in total). It’s a lot to take in, and each of these reports has long-term implications for our community.
So, instead of my usual round-up of different topics, this round-up is dedicated to just one topic - the new subdivisions.
Before I dive into the details, I strongly encourage you to get involved as our Town changes. There are 2 very important projects on Erin Engaged. Follow the projects, take the surveys, ask questions, and share your thoughts. I believe, together, we can make thoughtful, lasting decisions for the future of our Town.
